Jie “Roger” Luo is the founder of the law firm Woodruff & Lou, LLC and Of Counsel to Sirotkin Varacalli & Hamra, LLP. He holds J.D. from Brooklyn Law School as well as Bachelor and Master of Music from The Juilliard School. An accomplished concert pianist before entering the legal profession, Roger brings his talents and desire of performance to helping his client’s legal needs and to the courtroom as a trial attorney. Prior to founding Woodruff & Luo, Roger worked at various public and government entities as well as in prestigious private sector firms where he received invaluable exposure and experience to trial litigation in civil and criminal law. During his tenure as an associate attorney in a renowned Manhattan plaintiffs’ firm, Roger worked on a wide range of cases that included false arrest, medical malpractice, automobile accidents, and premises liability that led to multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements.
As an immigrant himself, Roger is passionate about nearly all areas of immigration practice, but specializes in O-1, L-1A, EB-5 visas as well as green card and citizenship applications. Whether for a temporary stay or a permanent move, Roger has extensive knowledge in the complex immigration procedures and is dedicated to helping individuals and families resolve their immigration issues.
